KazMunayGas and the Croatian oil transportation system operator JANAF, following the results of the first meeting of the Kazakh-Croatian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in Zagreb earlier this year, have signed a memorandum of understanding. The document confirms the readiness of the parties to begin discussing cooperation in oil transportation and the storage of oil and oil products.

Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) on February 2024, announced its business performance results for 2023, with crude oil production at 28.9 million metric tonnes (230.6 million barrels), while total air emissions intensity was reduced to the lowest rate since 2000. During last year, all of TCO’s dry gas sales were provided to the Kazakhstan domestic market and the company remained a consistent supplier of liquified petroleum gas to local residents and industry.
