The plant “Kondensat” JSC in Burlinsk district West-Kazakhstani region has put into operation the vacuum distillation unit, the Kazinform correspondent reports with reference to the company’s press service.
Construction took two years and commissioning lasted for a month. Over 16 km of pipelines, around 1,000 t of steel structures and 7 tanks for 4,000 cubic meters were built. The new facility with a capacity of 250 thousand tons per year allows to process the heavy oil products and increase the light and clarified oils output up to 90%.
“Around 1 thousand tons of tar have been already produced, which is applied for road and roofing bitumen, and is in good demand. In addition, we have produced around 1.5 thousand tons of vacuum gas oil. This product is used for the diesel fuel, gasoline and lubricating oils production. We are going to supply the vacuum gas oil to the oil refineries of Kazakhstan, Russia and non-CIS states. At present, the first gas oil batch is exported to Finland”, the press service quotes the General Director Eduard Junussov.
The total cost of the project amounted to 168.6 mln US dollars. The Kazakhstan Development Bank provided over 70% of the required financing, the loan term is up to 11 years. In 2017, “Kondensat” JSC is going to produce 418 thousand tons of oil products in total, including gasoline AI-92 - 113 thousand tons, AI-95 - 14 thousand tons, diesel - 23 thousand tons, straight-run gas oil fraction - 134 thousand tons, vacuum gas oil - 74 thousand tons, tar - 16 thousand tons, fuel oil - 15 thousand tons.
