#1 (79), February 2013ExxonMobil Appoints New Managing Director of ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Inc.
In February 2013, Exxon Mobil Corporation, a leading international oil and gas major, announced the appointment of Mr. Bruno Jardin as Managing Director of its Kazakhstan affiliate, ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Inc. He succeeds Michael Crews, who has headed the affiliate since 2009.
Over the 30 years of his career with ExxonMobil Bruno completed a range of assignments, in both downstream and upstream operations. He joined his home affiliate, ESSO France, in 1982, after graduating with a Master degree in Civil Engineering. In 1995, after an assignment with Exxon Company U.S.A. Marketing he returned to France and joined the ESSO France Upstream operations organization as Project Manager. He then headed the ESSO Paris Basin Production Operations and the affiliate Planning group.
This was followed from 2001 by assignments in Melbourne, Australia, and later Lagos, Nigeria with responsibilities for the execution of upstream capital projects programs in both affiliates. Since 2010 he was a Senior Project Manager with ExxonMobil Development Company, with the responsibility for the North Caspian Sea PSA Projects.
In 2013 ExxonMobil is celebrating 20th anniversary of its presence in Kazakhstan. The company owns a 25% interest in the Tengizchevroil joint venture, which operates the giant Tengiz field, 16.81% in the North Caspian Production Sharing Agreement, that includes the giant Kashagan field, and a 7.5% interest in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. With volume of investment surpassing $10 billion to date, ExxonMobil is committed to remain one of largest foreign investors in the Republic.
