In accordance with the decision of the board of directors of JSC NC KazMunayGas, Alik Aidarbayev has been appointed to the position of managing director for exploration and production (a member of the Board) of JSC NC KazMunayGas. A. Aidarbayev was born in 1963. He graduated from the Kazakh Polytechnical Institute (1980-1985) and the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation (2009-2010).

The British company Tethys Petroleum Limited, registered on the Channel Islands, has published the data on operations in Kazakhstan. As it is informed on the company's website, as a result of approbation of the exploration well АКD03, the commercial inflow of oil was received on the second oil bearing site.

As informed to Interfax News Agency a source familiar with the situation, the employees of the London office of SDK have received an appropriate letter from Pierre Offant, managing director of the operator of the North Caspian project.

KazMunayGas Exploration & Production (КМG EP) informed about an agreement concluded with Exploration Venture Limited (EVL) on acquisition of a 50 % interest in Ural Group Limited (UGL). UGL owns a 100 % interest in Urals Oil & Gas LLP (UOG), possessing the subsoil use right to conduct exploration of hydrocarbons on the Fedorovsky block located in Western Kazakhstan region near the city of Uralsk.

On February 21, Tеthys Petroleum Limited (Теthys) declared that its 100 % subsidiary in Kazakhstan, TethysMunayGas, signed an agreement on JV to build and operate the railway oil terminal in Kazakhstan (further, Terminal). The enterprise in equal shares (50/50) will belong to Теthys MunayGas and its new local partner, Eurasia Gas LLP, having huge experience in distribution of oil in Kazakhstan.
