Asian Gas Pipeline

Asian Gas Pipeline LLP in which equal shares belong to the national gas transportation company KazTransGas and Chinese Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline Limited, subsidiary of CNPC, has started to elaborate a fesibility study for the construction project of the third thread of the Kazakhstan site of the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan - Uzbekistan - Kazakhstan - China with a throughput capacity of up to 25 billion cubic meters of natural gas a year.

Roxi Petroleum

Roxi Petroleum has received approval of the Antimonopoly Agency of Kazakhstan to sell to LG International Corp. (LGI) for $15.6 million a 40 % interest in Galaz & Co., developing the Konys field in the west of Kazakhstan. The sale will be carried out through Roxi's subsidiary, Galaz Energy BV (GEBV).

The government

The government of Kazakhstan has approved the new rules for granting the subsoil use rights. The new rules will come into force in ten calendar days from the date of its first official publication - from January 30, informs News-Kazakhstan Agency. It is marked in the rules that in accordance with the law on subsoil, the subsoil use right is granted by three ways.

TethysAralGas LLP (ТАG), registered on the Cayman Islands and being a 100 % subsidiary of Tethys Petroleum Limited, obtained an approval from the Kazakhstan's Ministry of Oil and Gas to implement the project for the pilot development of the Doris site of the Akkulka field in the Aktyubinsk region.

ExxonMobil

On January 28, 2011 Exxon Mobil Corporation announced that its subsidiary, Exxon Neftegas Limited, has successfully drilled the world's longest extended-reach well at the Odoptu field, offshore far east Russia. Exxon Neftegas is the operator of the Sakhalin-1 Project on behalf of an international consortium that includes affiliates of the Russian state company Rosneft RN-Astra and Sakhalinmorneftegas-Shelf; the Japanese corporation SODECO; and the Indian state oil company ONGC Videsh Ltd.
