Mangystaumunaigaz
The oil-producing company Mangystaumunaigaz plans to ensure the 3D seismic surveys with use of CDP method for the Oymash field . In addition, the company has developed a technical project for the 3D seismic exploration with use of CDP method and supervision during the seismic works in the Oymash field.
Law of RoK "On Subsoils and Subsoil Use"
On September 2, during his speech at the joint meeting of chambers of the Parliament, the President Nursultan Nazarbaev ordered to develop and to adopt the amendments to the Law of RoK "On Subsoils and Subsoil Use".
KazTransGas
On August 19th in Astana the national operator in the field of gas production and supply JSC KazTransGas and contracting companies acting under the Production Sharing Agreement in the frame of the North-Caspian project signed a contract of purchase of gas from Kashagan field.
Tastobe Resources
On August 19th the first financial statements of the newly established oil and gas company Tastobe Resources, specifying the cost of exploration and evaluation assets in the amount of 1.484 billion KZT, was published. The company was incorporated in October 2012 by Arman Zhetpisbayev , the voluntarily resigned Mayor of Shymkent (30% share) and his brother (70% directly and indirectly).
Energy of Words
On August 27th prior to the Oilmen Day, celebrated in Kazakhstan, the special ceremony was held for the laureates of the media award-Energy of Words, arranged by the JSC National Company KazMunayGaz in Astana. PETROLEUM magazine won the first prize in this competition.

The Minister of Oil and Gas Uzakbai Karabalin declares that the acquisition of shares of ConocoPhillips in the North-Caspian Project by the National Company KazMunayGaz shall be performed at the end of the current year.

In Astana the Government of the Republic and the oil company Tengizchevroil discuss the content of the Memorandum on the Future Growth Project (FGP) in Tengiz field, as was reported by a source in the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies informed of the course of negotiations.

The oil producing company Exillion Energy Plc, oriented on Russia, declared that its founder and ex-chairman Maksat Arip takes steps towards sale of the controlling block of shares of the company, having raised the cost of the share for 18%, according to the Reuters report.
Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant
Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant signed a contract with the Romanian company SC Pominserv SRL (100% branch organization of NC KazMunayGas) on the development of a working documentation, purchase of equipment and materials, construction-assembly works on 30, July.

The Acting Board Chairman of JSC Samruk-Kazyna Daniyar Berlibayev reported at the meeting, devoted to activity results of the subsidiary companies of JSC KazMunayGas for the first half of the year that for a number of reasons the construction project of the plant for production of aromatics would not start in the current year.

At the meeting with the President of the Republic Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan Uzakbay Karabalin reported that oil inflow was received in Zhambyl in the Kazakhstan shelf sector of the Caspian Sea during the exploratory well testing.
