Eurasia

Kanat Bozumbayev, Minister of Energy, held a first round of negotiations with the potential participants of the international project Eurasia - NC KazMunaiGas JSC, ENI, Rosneft, CNPC, SOCAR, NEOS Geosolutions, reported the press service of the Ministry. According to the statement, "participants highly appreciated the prospects of the project and they expressed an intention to conclude a memorandum of understanding, with the purpose of negotiations regarding the establishment of the Consortium and preparation of the contract for geological study".

Tengizchevroil

In 2016, 27.56 mln tons of oil were produced at Tengiz oilfield in Atyrau region, Kazakhstan. A year earlier, the volume was equal to 27.16 mln tons. Tengizchevroil (TCO) is a joint venture company, which is engaged in exploration, production and sales of oil and related products from Tengiz field. This company is the largest oil producing enterprise in Kazakhstan. Also, in 2016 TCO sold 1.35 mln tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG), 7.21 bln m3 of natural gas and 2.33 mln tons of sulphur.

Kashagan

The correspondent of Kazinform reports the final cost of Kashagan field development, put into operation in the autumn of 2016 in the Kazakhstani sector of the Caspian Sea. "Currently, the amount of investments for the North Caspian Sea project, aimed at offshore Kashagan field development, amounts to more than 55 bln USD," said Bruno Jardin, Managing Director of North Caspian Operating Company B.V.

Sumatec Resources Bhd is ready to embark on a three-year development plan to ramp up the production of its Rakushechnoye oil and gas field in Kazakhstan towards optimal production of about 2,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

Atyrau oil refinery

Two ways of privatization are discussed in relation to the Atyrau oil refinery, Kaztag reports. “We are currently considering two ways of privatization - outside the perimeter of the IPO and privatization inside the perimeter of the IPO. Modernization of the plant was made by means of credit and the resulting debt must be maintained. It will be great of there is a private party willing to assume the debt”, - said the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Umirzak Shukeev during a visit to the Atyrau refinery.

KazMunaiGas

According to the results of negotiations held in Astana between KazMunaiGas NC JSC and Gazprom PJSC, deliveries of Kazakhstani gas was agreed for 2017, amounting to about 12.8 billion cu. m. Gazprom PJSC and KazMunaiGas NC JSC annually increasing the volume of export gas.
