Satti self-elevating floating drilling rig (SEFDR) passed all basic tests and it is ready for operating, said Akhan Telmanov, the Chief Specialist of Mangystau regional Department of the Committee on Industrial Development and Security. Their height is 119 meters, which is comparable to the high-rise building with 36 floors, and it will allow to drill at sea depth from 5 to 80 meters. SEFDR provides accommodation for staff and a helicopter platform.
The total weight of the construction is 10, 800 tons. 86 people can work simultaneously on its site”, Akhan Telmanov said .
