RGU has strengthened its existing partnership with the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) having signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to create a joint degree programme. The two institutions already have a successful history of research collaboration, and this new partnership will extend this further, focussing on KBTU students joining RGU’s School of Engineering.

Tengizchevroil Announces 2023 Business Performance Results

Atyrau, Kazakhstan – February 23, 2024 – Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) today, announced its business performance results for 2023, with crude oil production at 28.9 million metric tonnes (230.6 million barrels), while total air emissions intensity was reduced to the lowest rate since 2000. During last year, all of TCO’s dry gas sales were provided to the Kazakhstan domestic market and the company remained a consistent supplier of liquified petroleum gas to local residents and industry.

On December 1, the President of China University of Petroleum-Beijing Wu Xiaolin, together with representatives of the University of China, visited the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU) for the first time during their visit to Kazakhstan. The meeting was held under the auspices of 30 years of cooperation between CNPC and Kazakhstan. The heads of the two universities discussed new prospects for cooperation in the field of science and education.

One of the priority tasks in Petrosun’s activity is to support and implement state programs, and to maintain the stability of the oil products domestic market. The entire volume of LPG produced for Petrosun in 2022 and for 11 months of 2023 was supplied to the domestic market. The total volume was approximately 748,036 tons.

The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs sets trends in business

Young women entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan received grants to develop their own businesses. The women were trained at the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) and successfully presented their projects.

Honoring graduates and awarding million-tenge grants took place in Almaty as part of the closing ceremony of the program (AWE). The international educational project is being implemented by the U.S. Department of State in partnership with Chevron company.

Petrosun Has Supplied Preferential Diesel Fuel for Farmers for More Than 60%

During the period of harvesting campaign in the Republic of Kazakhstan from July to October 2023, Petrosun ensured diesel fuel shipment of at a reduced cost in the volume of 186,368 tons. This is more than 60% of 291,339 tons planned for delivery as part of the state program to ensure autumn field works.
