SPE conference brings together top regional events under one roof
London, UK (21 September 2015)—This year’s SPE Annual Caspian Technical Conference and Exhibition—taking place 4–6 November in Baku, Azerbaijan—is being held in conjunction with two of the Caspian region’s most well-established oil and gas conferences, in an exclusive collaboration to provide a richer experience for delegates.
In addition to SPE’s unrivalled technical content to be delivered at this event, delegates can also access—at no extra cost—the IX Azerbaijan International Geophysical Conference (organised by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), National Committee of Geophysicists of Azerbaijan (NCGA), and Azerbaijan National Geophysicists (AMGK) as well as the International Conference organised by the Azerbaijan Society of Petroleum Geologists (ASPG) and European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE LC Azerbaijan).
All three conferences provide a chance to discuss the biggest challenges facing the industry in the Caspian region, and ways to resolve them. Technical advances play a key role in the solution to many of these issues, and the latest technological developments will also be examined in the three events. However while some themes are in common, the three conferences cover separate but complementary topics.
The prestigious Fairmont Hotel, Flame Towers in Baku is the venue for all three conferences, with over 700 oil and gas industry professionals from IOCs and NOCs, as well as government representatives, service companies, scientists, and others expected to attend and contribute. The event is hosted by SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic), and co-hosted by BP. The two companies are also sharing chairing duties, with Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh, First Vice President, SOCAR and Martyn Smith, VP Reservoir Development, BP assuming the role. Other sponsors include Baker Hughes, Caspian Geophysical, Chevron, ENGIE, ExxonMobil, Halliburton, INPEX, Nobel Oil, Petronas, Schlumberger, Statoil, TCO, and Total.
Delegates can create new professional relationships and develop existing ones across the three days, through the extensive networking opportunities this unique collaboration presents.
