TCO Announces Handover of a Community House in Inder and a Kindergarten to Akkiiztogai to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan
ATYRAU, Kazakhstan, December 8, 2016 – Since its inception in 1993, Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) has made significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan. One of the main objectives of the company is to provide benefit to the local population through the development of social infrastructure in Atyrau oblast. On the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, funded through its voluntary Egilik social and infrastructure program, TCO constructed a Community House with 400 seats for the residents of Inder.
The Community House is equipped with an auditorium, dance halls, library, internet room and rooms for various clubs. The territory is greened and landscaped. The same day in Akkiiztogai, TCO handed-over a kindergarten with 160 seats. This is the fifth kindergarten built with TCO funds using the Egilik program.
The kindergarten provides all conditions for children: playgrounds for active development, playrooms and rooms for sleeping, dining rooms, special rooms of music, drama and sports halls, equipped with modern facilities.
The ceremonies of handing over the two facilities in Inder and Akkiiztogai were attended by the representatives of oblast and regional akimats, oblast departments of culture and construction, Tengizchevroil LLP and local residents. At the ceremony the akims of Inder region, S. Arystan, and Zhyolyoi region, M. Izbassov thanked TCO and the contracting companies on behalf of the local population.
Tengizchevroil LLP is a Kazakhstani partnership that explores, develops, produces and markets crude oil, LPG, dry gas and sulfur. TCO conducts its operations in accordance with world-class safety and environmental standards. In April 1993, Tengizchevroil was formed between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Chevron Corporation. Current partners are: Chevron Overseas Company, 50 percent; KazMunayGas NC JSC, 20 percent; ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Ventures Inc., 25 percent and LUKARCO B.V., 5 percent.
