KPO Took Part in a Forum with the Netherlands Machine Manufacturing and Oilfield Service Companies
Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) hold a Kazakh –Dutch a forum within O&G Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) from 22 – 24 October in Amsterdam with participation of the Netherlands equipment manufacturers and oilfield service companies in order to facilitate investments and enable technology transfer to create new manufacturing plants and joint ventures in Kazakhstan.
The event, jointly organized by KPO and IRO, Association of Dutch Suppliers in the Oil and Gas Industry and Offshore Renewable Industry, was attended by senior executives of West Kazakhstan Oblast, representatives of large international engineering and equipment manufacturers for oil & gas industry.
The purpose of this forum is to identify interested international companies engaged in Oil & Gas Industry for setting up manufacturing plants in Kazakhstan and joint ventures with Kazakh companies development of new equipment and materials production in Republic of Kazakhstan in order to cover KPO’s both current operations and upcoming projects demands. Addressing the Forum attendees, KPO General Director Edwin Blom emphasized that the Forum would become a platform for leading international oil service and engineering companies, Oil and Gas equipment manufacturers to learn the local market and to explore the prospects of production localization in Kazakhstan such as to meet the needs of the largest oil and gas projects.
As KPO Vice General Director Marat Karimov noted “West Kazakhstan Oblast, the region where Karachaganak Oil & Gas Condensate Field is located, provides the principal area for joint activities. We therefore wish to discuss business development opportunities and initiatives offered by WKO senior executives for cooperation with foreign investors and Dutch companies in particular”.
“Today, we invite international companies who are interested in localizing their goods, works and services in the Republic of Kazakhstan, to launch a joint manufacturing of their high-tech products under “Made in Kazakhstan” brand”, added Edwin Blom.
KPO is already has tight engagements/connections with The UK Department of Investment and Trade, and The Chamber of Commerce Kazakhstan-Italy, which allowed KPO to achieve several localization successes resulting in new enterprises, new job opportunities for Kazakhstani citizens and KPO believes that this forum will be basis for long-term relationship with between international and Kazakh companies.
