Launched a pipe cutting facility in the territory of the free economic zone Aktau
Tenaris, one of the largest producers of pipe products in the world, launched a pipe cutting facility in the territory of the free economic zone Aktau, Kazakhstan. The plant will produce the seamless pipes for the oil and gas industry. The capacity of this enterprise will be 45 thousand tons of highly hermetic pipe with premium class thread that can be used for drilling the oil wells to a depth of 5 km.

On the day of the celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Kazakhstan, a treaty was repeatedly signed by the NC KazMunayGas JSC and CEFC (ChinaEnergy Company Limited), proving a firm intention to sell 51% of shares of KMG International (further- KMGI). One of the main conditions of the deal was the signing of a number of investment documents on 3 billion investments for KMGI, to be spent for the further development and strengthening the Company's position in the Black Sea region.

Catalin Dmitru is appointed as a Senior Vice President of KMGI. Previously, he served as a Vice President of Industrial Activities in KMG International. Dmitru will continue to supervise production chain of the Group at the new position. New Senior Vice President has 23 years experience of working in the oil business. He joint the Kazakh company back in 2002 as a Chief Financial Officer of two companies of the Group.

Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbayev introduced Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, the first Vice Prime Minister of Energy to the personnel of the Ministry, reported the press service of this authority. At various years, M. Dosmukhambetov occupied the positions as follows: Chief Geologist, Deputy Director General for Geology and Geophysics, Deputy Director General for Geology and Development, First Deputy General Director-Member of the Board of Mangistaumunaigas.

Tengizchevroil (TCO) plans to drill around 100 more bore holes before 2022 at the Tengiz field, said the geophysicist of the company’s reservoir management Zhanibek Katrenov. “Today there are 130 bore holes at the Tengiz field, among which 90 bore holes produce oil. It is planned to drill about 100 bore holes within the Future Growth Project and Wellhead Pressure Management Project (FGP-WPMP).

The extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of KazTransOil JSC decided to increase the members of the Board of Directors from 6 to 7 persons, reported the press-service of the Company. “The number of the Board members of KazTransOil JSC shall be 7 persons and Dossanov Dimash Gabitovich was elected as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KazTransOil for the term, established for the Board of Directors as a whole, - stipulate the statement. In addition, Shmanov Nurtas, the Member of KTO’s Board of Directors was approved as a representative of NC KazMunayGas JSC.
Atyrau oil refinery
Galimzhan Amanturlin was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors (General Director) of Atyrau refinery, reports the press service of the said enterprise. Mr.Amanturlin will replace Kairat Urazbaev, who will occupy a position of the Director of the Modernisation Department of the National Company KazMunayGas he will be in charge of reconstruction of three refineries of Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan offers 67 sites for the competitive tendering for the right of subsoil use. This was announced by the Head of the Department Kanat Buzumbayev. “At the moment we handed offer on 67 sites to the Geology and Subsoil Use Committee of the Ministry of Investment and Development, that are subject to competitive tendering next year, and soon we will work it out with them.

A consortium led by the Danish company Blue Water Shipping A/S together with Topaz Energy and Marine (part of the Renaissance Services SAOG group) received a major contract worth $350 million within the framework of the TCO FGP (Tengizchevroil Future Growth Project) project for the supply and operation of 15 vessels for the transportation of large modules (MCV) for Tengizchevroil JV (Kazakhstan).KASHAGAN
The government expects to achieve the peak of oil production at Kashagan in 2020-2021 yrs. During these years, it is planned to produce 13 million tons of oil. "According to the anticipated scenarios no growth in oil production is expected in the years of 2020-2021 due to peak production at the Kashagan field and depletion of old fields.

KazMunaiGas Exploration & Production announces that its Board of Directors has resolved to merge its subsidiaries Zhondeu and Kruz into OzenMunaiService. The merger will help improve the management of the subsidiaries.
