A contract for construction of “IndoxSamruk Kazakhstan” industrial complex was signed in Aktau. The company will be located in the territory of the free economic zone “Aktau Seaport" and will be focused on the creation of petroleum products, liquefied and compressed gases equipment. "IndoxSamruk Kazakhstan" is a joint project of Samruk-Kazyna invest and Indox Cry Energy Overseas Ltd (Spain).
The agreement on the implementation of the activities as a unique member of the free economic zone was signed by Chairman of the Board of “FEZ Aktau seaport” JSC Amirbek Tulegenov and the CEO of the Spanish company Anton Boada. Preliminary project cost is 534 million euros, of which about 160 million euros - is own funds of the companies “Samruk-Kazyna invest” and Indox Cry Energy Overseas Ltd.
The Spanish partners will operate the project and own 51%. Within the framework of the project on the territory of sez the research center will be created, whose main focus will be training of the technical and engineering staff, cooperation between technical universities of Kazakhstan and Spain on qualified staff training, as well as the adaptation of engines of various vehicles to run on compressed natural gas.
The project provides for the establishment of the necessary infrastructure and equipment for liquefied natural gas market development in Kazakhstan. The start of construction of the enterprise is planned for this year. Completion is expected by the year 2016, according to "KAZINFORM".
