The results of 2024 and the outlook

"By 2050, the world will change, but the need for reliable, affordable energy that drives economic prosperity and improves living standards while reducing greenhouse gas emissions will remain just as critical as it is today. The global population will continue to grow, driving energy demand higher. Achieving this balance will require wind, solar, oil, natural gas, and nearly every other available energy source because access to energy fosters human development and enhances the quality of life."
ExxonMobil presented this conclusion in its latest energy forecast through 2050, which is published in Russian for the first time in our journal.
What role will Kazakhstan play among the world's energy suppliers in the coming years? To answer this question, we must first understand where we currently stand. Unfortunately, it is already clear that the production targets set at the start of 2024 will once again not be achieved (as was the case last year) due to OPEC+ quotas and maintenance work at major fields. Meanwhile, oil refining is on the rise, and progress is finally evident in gas chemical projects.
The results of 2024 and the outlook ahead are the key topics of this issue. Read, analyze, and draw conclusions. Until we meet again in 2025! May it be a little more predictable, calmer, and successful.
Sincerely,
