Motul presents its updated and expanded line of 6100 Technosynthese® motor oils.
Modern operating conditions of cars have increased demands for motor oil. This is a consequence of traffic jams, high temperature loads and air dustiness of urban environment. The result is an increase in the number of operating hours during the service interval, operation in thermo-modes close to the critical, and increased number of deposits in the engine. Trends of engine-building - reduction of engine capacity and the amount of oil in the crankcase, the need to comply to strict environmental standards and the introduction of sensitive exhaust after-treatment system. Actual allowances of manufacturers specify high standards of conformity. Today manufacturers of lubricants can meet these requirements, only using synthetic base.
While developing a product line of 6100 motor oils the goal was to achieve a perfect balance of cost and quality. Continuous development of production techniques of motor oils in Motul has created the product features of which are closely approaching 100% synthetic oils line 8100, but at a more competitive price. Technosynthese® is a registered line of synthetic oils with reinforced base. Low count of SSI (Share Stability Index) is observed in all of the oils presented in this line. High stability of base oil, carefully selected according to the NOACK tests, allows you to constantly save operational performance throughout the period of use. Increased concentration of detergent additives prevents formation of the lacquer deposits on the surfaces of internal parts of the engine. This contributes to low and even wear of distribution cams and pistons.
There are two specifications of 6100 SYN-nergy product - 5W30 and 5W40. Excellent detergent-dispersing properties, high resistance of oil film and viscosity increase resistance allow the oil to meet strict MB 229.5 and VW 502.00 - 505.00 allowances. Recommended for most gasoline engines of European manufacturers.
Motul 6100 SYN-clean 5W40 motor oil specifically designed for last generation vehicles equipped with gasoline and diesel, atmospheric and turbo engines, including direct injection, meeting the requirements of Euro 4, 5 or 6 Euro standards. This oil represents Mid SAPS class. Complies with API SN, ACEA C3 standards, and BMW Long Life-04, GM-OPEL dexos2®, MB 229.51 and VW 502.00 – 505.01 approval. This allows to recommend SYN-clean 5W40 for use in most modern car models of BMW, Mercedes and VAG concerns.
Another product of Motul Technosynthese® line of oils, 6100 SAVE-nergy 5W30 meets ACEA A5/B5 and API SL standards, indicating improved antioxidant properties and viscous oil stability throughout the oil service interval. Special synthetic additives (friction modifiers) allow to comply with the Ford 913-D standard, which guarantees excellent lubricating properties and allows the use of biodiesel. 6100 SAVE-nergy is recommended for use in all engines of Ford and Jaguar Land Rover concerns.
Motul 6100 SAVE-lite 5W30 oil was created for use in most Japanese car engines. Compliance with API SN standards and based on its specifications, but the more stringent LSAC GF-5 standard, shows the excellent energy-saving properties of this oil. Also these standards guarantee engine protection when using gasoline with ethanol (E85). Motul recommends 6100 SAVE-lite 5W30 oil for use in gasoline engines brands such as Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Hyundai and Kia. Also SAVE-lite product exists in 5W20 specification.
6100 Technosynthese® line of motor oils consists of ten kinds of Motul synthetic mixed oils with reinforced base. Together with compliance to the most relevant standards of manufacturers it allows to use the oils of this series in the majority of the cars presented at the markets of Russia and the CIS countries.
