Pumps and Valves for Green Hydrogen Power

Along with the metal industry, the chemical industry consumes the most energy – and the majority of it still comes from fossil fuels. However, this will soon change when at least part of the supply will be replaced by green hydrogen. Pumps and valves will play a decisive role in making this low-carbon switch. Green hydrogen, i.e. hydrogen produced in a climate-neutral manner, is becoming increasingly important as an energy source for industry. Not only can this hydrogen be used to power vehicles and for storing renewable energy, it can also be used to defossilise material value chains.

It is well known that the profitability of oil and gas producing companies directly depends on the efficiency of exploration methods. Both «direct» and «indirect» exploration methods are currently used to explore for hydrocarbons. The difference between them is that indirect exploration methods study the physical properties of rocks and minerals in the Earth’s interior, while direct methods reveal the presence and composition of minerals in the survey areas.

The year 2022 ended with an important and significant event for the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) as it achieved mechanical completion to transport about 72.5 mln tons of oil annually from Kazakhstan and up to 81.5 mln tons of oil per year through the territory of the Russian Federation. This resulted from the implementation of individual projects combined into a large-scale Debottlenecking Program (DBNP).
