Tethys Petroleum Ltd, registered in Guernsey (Channel Islands), has decided on its withdrawal from the oil and gas projects in Uzbekistan, - as stated in the company’s press release issued on January 3. As it emerged from the message, the decision was made due to the changes took place in the political and business environment in Uzbekistan.
On 27 December 2013, Mr Kayrgeldy Kabyldin, Director General (Chairman of the Board) of the KazTransOil JSC, and Mr Igor Sechin, President of the Rosneft NC OJSC, concluded an oil transportation contract, - as reported by the press-service of KTO.
Reorganization of the headquarters of KazMunayGas NC JSC is completed, as reported by the press centre of the national company. The need for reorganization of the KMG, which includes 239 subsidiaries and affiliates, was call forth by limited impact on the business activities of subsidiaries and affiliates, as well as by overlapping with its largest subsidiary companies (KazTransOil JSC, KazTransGas JSC, and KazMunayGas - Refining & Marketing JSC, etc.).
UPDATE TO COMMUNICATION PACKAGE ON SOUR GAS LINE INCIDENT
Following the start of production from the Kashagan field on 11 September 2013, the operations had to be stopped on 24 September, due to a gas leak in the onshore section of the gas pipeline running from D Island to the onshore processing facility “Bolashak”.
