The Operator of the North Caspian Sea Project, North Caspian Operating Company N.V. (NCOC) informs on the commencement of planned maintenance activities at its offshore and onshore facilities.
On October 7, NCOC commences planned maintenance activities of the Kashagan offshore and onshore facilities.
The maintenance activities are carried out to assure production system integrity and safety and to implement some works and projects aimed at further increasing the production system reliability. The planned duration of maintenance activities is one month.
The Kashagan field is considered one of the largest oilfields discovered over the past decades. Its recoverable reserves are estimated at 9 to 13 billion barrels of oil. The commercial production at Kashagan started in 2016.
