ExxonMobil Kazakhstan

Effective September 1, 2026, Kenan Nariman has been appointed Managing Director of ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Inc., succeeding Cecile Rauline. In his new role, Kenan will also oversee ExxonMobil’s assets in Azerbaijan.
 

Kenan holds a degree in International Economics from Georgetown University, as well as graduate degrees from Harvard University and Cornell University.
 

He brings over 20 years of experience at ExxonMobil (having joined in 2001), holding senior leadership roles globally across business development, natural gas marketing, and strategic Upstream initiatives:
* 2022-2026: President of ExxonMobil Korea and Country Chair in South Korea.
* 2016-2022: Vice President of Commercial Operations for ExxonMobil in Russia, overseeing commercial development for the Sakhalin-1 project (including the Far East LNG project) and broader national commercial activities.
* 2012-2016: Commercial Manager at ExxonMobil Upstream Ventures (London), leading exploration and production evaluation and development across Europe, the Caspian region, Russia, the Middle East, and Africa.
