The Board of Directors of «KazTransOil» JSC appointed Talgat Kurmanbayev as the new General Director (Chairman of the Management Board) of «KazTransOil» JSC as of February 23, 2022.

 

Talgat Kurmanbaev was born in 1979 in Almaty. In 2000 he graduated from the Kazakh Humanitarian Law University, majoring in Law. In 2006 he graduated from the Kazakh State National Technical University named after K. Satpaev with a degree in Design, construction and operation of gas oil pipelines and gas oil storage facilities.

 

Prior to his appointment at «KazTransOil» JSC, since 2020, he held the position of Deputy Director of the Oil Industry Development Department at the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

He began his career in 2000 as manager at «Munai-Transco» JV CJSC. From 2002 to 2005 he worked as specialist, chief specialist, manager of the transportation department at «KazTransOil» JSC. From 2007 to 2009, he worked as executive director for transportation at «KazTransOil» JSC. From 2005 to 2007, he headed the logistics and service department at IOC «KazMunayTeniz» JSC. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as corporate secretary at JSC «National Company «KazMunayGas».  

 

In the period from 2012 to 2015, he held the position of chief еxpert, and then director of the Oil and Gas Assets department at the National Welfare Fund «Samruk-Kazyna» JSC. From 2015 to 2020 - Deputy General Director, General Director of «KazMunayGas-Aero» JSC.
