KMG EP

On January 13, 2015, an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC will be held. Shareholders, according to the KMG EP press release, will have to decide the following issues:

1. Of early termination of powers of Daniyar Berlibayev (Deputy Chairman of the Board of the national company KazMunayGas for the Corporate Center) as a member of the Board of Directors of KMG EP – Chairman of the Board of Directors of KMG EP.
2. Of the election of Christopher Hopkinson for the KMG EP Board of Directors. Mr. Christopher Hopkinson has been proposed by OC KazMunayGas JSC, the majority shareholder of KMG EP.

Now Mr. Hopkinson is employed in the position of the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the national company. In case of approval of his candidacy, Mr. Hopkinson will be nominated for the position of the Chairman of the KMG EP Board of Directors.
