Production Maintenance Suppliers Forum
Atyrau, Kazakhstan, April 14, 2017
– Today Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) held its Production Maintenance Suppliers Forum with support from the Atyrau Region National Chamber of Entrepreneurs. The Forum was attended by local and international companies, Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and Union of Service Companies of Kazakhstan ULE.
Interested companies providing services to TCO were invited to participate in the Forum. Companies must have the capability to provide services onsite in the Tengiz oil field area, in the Zhylyoy Region of Atyrau Oblast in Kazakhstan.
“The objective of today’s Forum is to provide an overview of maintenance services general requirements, the TCO bid process, and safety standards for potential suppliers, – noted Gary Enk, Production Operations Manager, TCO. – And to continue our active cooperation with external stakeholders to identify and develop new opportunities for Kazakhstani companies.”
During the Forum, participants were provided with general information on the Production Service Lines’ for the TCO Production Maintenance Services, and on requirements for pre-qualification and terms of tenders.
“As we know, local content development is one of the most important issues in support of domestic producers of goods and services, – Assylbek Jakiyev, Director of the Atyrau Region National Chamber of Entrepreneurs noted in his speech. – This is especially relevant to Atyrau Oblast, where most of the large subsoil users are based.”
The Forum held an interactive session with the participation of experts to foster dialogue and promote further cooperation.
Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) is a Kazakhstani partnership that explores, develops, produces and markets crude oil, LPG, dry gas and sulfur. TCO conducts its operations in accordance with world- class safety and environmental standards. In April 1993, Tengizchevroil was formed between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Chevron Corporation. Current partners are: Chevron Overseas Company, 50 percent; KazMunayGas NC JSC, 20 percent; ExxonMobil Kazakhstan Ventures Inc., 25 percent and LUKARCO B.V., 5 percent.
The Future Growth Project (FGP) and Wellhead Pressure Management Project (WPMP) are two integrated projects that are being executed simultaneously by Tengizchevroil LLP. FGP will increase Tengiz crude oil production capacity by about 12 million tonnes per year/260,000 barrels per day to about 39 million tonnes per year/850,000 barrels per day. While FGP will expand production, WPMP will keep the existing Tengiz plants at full capacity by lowering the flowing pressure at the wellhead and then boosting the pressure to the inlet requirements of the six existing processing trains.
Atyrau Oblast Chamber of Entrepreneurs is a territorial division of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the establishment and activities of which are aimed at the growth and development of the business sector of Atyrau oblast; ensuring institutional environment for the consideration of the entrepreneurs’ interests in the development and implementation of government economic and other policies, including policy of local executive and Atyrau Oblast representative state bodies; improving the mechanisms of interaction between the business community and the corresponding administrative territorial unit.
