On 16 May 2013, the Kazakhstan Bar Association (KazBar) will convene its Conference (the General Meeting of Participants) in Hyatt Regency Almaty
This event is meant for the KazBar members, executives (partners) of law firms, legal counsels, lawyers, directors and heads of legal services, corporate lawyers and attorneys.
The Conference will comprise five (5) sessions. One of the sessions, Regulation of Legal Services Market, will be conducted in Kazakhstan for the first time. It will be performed in the form of a dialogue between officers of state agencies, the Republican Bar, public organisations, law firms and other participants of the legal services market. Organisers of the Conference are planning to invite such distinguished guest as a representative of the Law Society of England and Wales.
For professional development of lawyers and KazBar members we will devote a number of sessions to the most popular areas of practice: corporate law, tax law, labour law, antitrust (competition) law and management of natural resources. Each participant will be given an opportunity to address questions to the best lawyers specialising in certain areas of practice. The KazBar members will have to attend an election and reporting conference where they will be informed about the performance, plans and prospects of KazBar, establishment of KazBar branches and amendment of the KazBar Articles of Association.

Rashid Gaissin, Managing Partner of GRATA Law Firm, will speak at the Conference in the session 2: «M&A transactions. Corporate aspect", as well as a moderator in the session 5: "Labour Law of Kazakhstan: the balance between the interests of employers and employees.".
