How to Become a KPO Supplier
KPO, supported by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan local administration and authority body – PSA LLP is conducting active work on the involvement of local producers and oil service companies in the framework of the Local Content Development Program at the Karachaganak oil and gas condensate field in 2018-2019.
KPO activities in the field of procurement of inventory, works and services are carried out by the approved tender procedures of KPO and the rules of the Final Production Sharing Agreement.
KPO procurements are made on a competitive basis through tenders in compliance with the principles of competitiveness, objectivity, and confidentiality. Companies that have passed the preliminary evaluation process and registered in the KPO supplier database are invited to participate in a tender.
Supplier registration process
To register a company as a potential supplier in the database of potential suppliers of goods and services for KPO, it is necessary to fill in a Questionnaire for preliminary evaluation of suppliers in Excel format (it can be downloaded on the www.kpo.kz corporate website) and attach the required copies of the documents.
At the same time, the number of product names, goods or services should not exceed 10 FPAL-FPK codes to determine the main activity of the company.
The application form must be completed in strict accordance with the instructions for filling, failure to comply with this requirement may lead to rejection of the request.

Registration of suppliers in the Alash unified database
Also, to develop local content and ensure the «single window» principle for Kazakhstani suppliers to major oil and gas operators of Kazakhstan – KPO, NCOC, and TCO – Alash unified database is introduced in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Alash system is designed to significantly simplify the visual availability of goods, works and services of suppliers in the procurement of large oil and gas operators of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In its work on procurement of goods, works, and services, KPO intends to use the Alash database as a source of information when searching for potential Kazakhstani and foreign suppliers. Kazakhstani companies and joint ventures with a share of Kazakhstani companies can register in the Alash database free of charge. After registration in the Alash database, suppliers will be given full online access to their information, which will allow to update it interactively constantly.
