KazTransGas, the national operator in the field of gas and gas supply, has become an independent portfolio company of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund.

 

On March 11, 2021, a Government resolution was adopted, and an Agreement was signed on the transfer of 100% of the common shares of KazTransGas JSC, owned by NC KazMunayGas JSC, to the trust management of National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC. According to the Chairman of the Fund's Management Board, Akhmetzhan Yessimov (resigned on March 29 - Petroleum), "thus, the National Company KazTransGas will not only transport gas but also become a full-fledged national operator in the field of gas and gas supply."
