Shell Kazakhstan Announces New Country Chair
Shell Kazakhstan informs that German Burmeister, currently Shell Vice-President in Brazil, will take over as the Country Chair of Shell Kazakhstan effective from 1st August 2021, replacing Olivier Lazare who has been appointed as Managing Director of North Caspian Operating Company N.V.
German Burmeister brings over 30 years of oil and gas experience, the last 20 years with Shell. He has a Petroleum Engineer degree and MBA. He joined Shell in 2001, since then he has held several commercial, governance, strategy and business roles in South America, Europe and Africa. Mr. Burmeister has been living in Brazil since 2014. Following the combination with BG in 2016, he has been leading the Deepwater business in country. Mr Burmeister is married with three children.
Shell Kazakhstan thanks Mr. Lazare for his outstanding leadership as the Country Chair and wishes him and Mr. Burmeister good luck in their future roles.
