International Business Week in Atyrau
The most important region-scale events, related to the petroleum and construction industries- Atyrau Oil & Gas 2014 and Atyrau Build 2014 are held from 1 to 3 April in Atyrau city. The venue is the Atyrau Sport Complex and the temporary showroom, specially built for these exhibitions. Traditionally, OILTECH Atyrau 2014 and the 8thAtyrau Regional Petroleum Technology Conference are hosted by the Renaissance Atyrau Hotel during the same period – April 1-2.
At the official opening of the events, the participants and guests were welcomed by Mr. Gumar Duisembayev, First Deputy Akim of Atyrau region, Mr.Graeme Coombes, Director of the Oil and Gas Division, ITE, and Mr. Yuriy Borodikhin, Director of Iteca Company.
140 companies from Austria, the Republic of Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, the Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and Switzerland took part in Atyrau Oil & Gas 2014 exhibition. This year, except for traditional exhibition sectors, the following sectors were introduced for the first time: "Coatings-Anticorrosive Pipeline Coatings" and "Welding Technology in the Oil and Gas Industry”. Therefore, the organizers made an effort to show the full range of technologies, used in the construction of oil and gas pipelines and oil tanks.
The following participants are among the permanent exhibitors: JSC NC KazMunayGaz, Tengizchevroil, NCOC, Paker, Ozna, Atyrauneftemash, Wika Kazakhstan, Caspian Offshore Construction, West Dala Eurospecarmatura, Netzsch Pumpen & Systeme Gmbh, Votkinsk Plant, Motovilikha Plant, Astel, Radian and many others. Schneider Electric, Kosmos-Oil-Gas, MARSHAL, Lugansk Plant of Pipeline Fittings became the exhibitors for the first time.
The key oil producing and service companies, oil refineries and petrochemical plants from Austria, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands and Russia are also among the participants of OILTECH Atyrau 2014 Conference.
Two-day long conference program included the issues of offshore field development, enhanced oil recovery, industrial safety and public environmental control, development of oil refining and petrochemical industry, special attention was given to the drilling technologies. The recent achievements in the field of oil and gas geology were closely discussed and the most actual projects were considered in the frame of the geologic exploration seminar.
