International Forum of Oil Workers in Kazakhstan
KIOGE
In the beginning of October Almaty hosted the 22nd Kazakhstan international Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference - KIOGE-2014. The unfailing organisers of KIOGE Exhibition and Conference 2014 are Kazakhstan exhibition company Iteca and its international partners ITE Group Plc (the United Kingdom), GIMA (Germany), ITE China (China), ITE Moscow (Russia), EUF (Turkey).

KIOGE 2014, the best known exhibition in the professional oil and gas world of the region, gathered more than 400 companies from 23 countries at this time. The number of people involved in the exhibition is amounted at a few thousand. 6000 of oil and gas industry representatives from all areas attended the exhibition. Yuriy Borodikhin, the Director of Iteca company, noted that KIOGE 2014 presented the following national stands: Germany, Italy, Canada, China, Malaysia, and, for the first time, Austria. Thus, the tradition of the exhibition was observed in this year - to represent a new country and a new exhibitor practically every year. Mr.Borodikhin also emphasized that Russian companies were very well represented at the exhibition, which also is traditionally for KIOGE.
The three new sections became feature and significant innovations of the exhibition in this year. Apportionment of the exhibition individual sections - “Welding: equipment and technologies” and “Coverages-anticorrosive coatings of pipelines” - is justified by the relevance of the problems for the safety and smooth operation of pipelines and engineering facilities, as well as the need of the reliability improvement of pipelines work systems.

The organizers have allocated "Oil and gas machinery" as a separate new section considering the fact that the Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Energy gives an important role to the oil and gas machinery and oilfield services, where there is a significant potential for transfer and application of modern technologies.
Opening the KIOGE 2014 Conference, sir Andrew Wood Senior Advisor ITE Group Plc, who is actually a living symbol of KIOGE, emphasized that the commitment of Kazakhstan to move forward in an increasingly competitive world is a clearly marked trend. And the energy sector has long ago become a front in this movement.

It is expected that one of the basic topics of the Conference in this year became the changes in the Eurasian energy market, which have led the recent steps to integrate the economies of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. The report, which was made by Magzum Mirzagaliev, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was devoted to the general condition of Kazakhstan's oil and gas sector. He noted that today it is observed deterioration of the oil and gas market conditions in the world, and therefore the Government of the Republic spare great attention to efficiency upgrading issues of the development and field oil recovery of the active fund.
