International Oil and Gas Forum in Atyrau
In April, Atyrau hosted a major oil and gas event in the North-Caspian region: 14th North Caspian Regional Exhibition Atyrau Oil and Gas 2015 and 9th Atyrau Regional Petroleum Technology Conference OILTECH Atyrau 2015.
The Annual exhibition Atyrau Oil and Gas 2015, which gathered 85 companies, provided a reasonably comprehensive geography-the participants came from 14 countries of the world. Traditionally, the Exhibition and Conference was represented by the leading companies, being the constant participants of the event, such as NC KazMunaiGas JSC, Tengizchevroil, SHELL Kazakhstan Development B.V., Caspian Offshore Construction, LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft, NCOC and others.
"As an oil-producing country, we always have to be in the trend of recent developments in the area of science and technology, in order to adopt the most efficient technologies and make our oil and gas industry the most science-intensive one. In the current condition of global energy market, we need to find the opportunities to improve the efficiency of local oil and gas industry at all the stages: from exploration to refining,"-stipulates the greeting letter to the participants of Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference from Vladimir Shkolnik, Minister of Energy.
Еhe participants of the Exhibition Atyrau Oil and Gas 2015 once again demonstrated their innovations. For example, to reduce the production costs, TSZP Kazakhstan company, the participant of special section Pipeline Anti-Corrosion Coating, uses the best developments of the global scientists and Russian engineers. By complementing the design with knowledge of specific local features of Kazakhstan, the Company offered the visitors an innovative rehabilitation, hardening, performance-improving and physical & mechanical characteristics of the working surfaces of parts and units of machines and mechanisms, methods of thermal spraying and surfacing.
ASTEL company demonstrated the portable satellite rapid deployment communication system and client satellite Internet service and data transmission kit SkyEdge C at the exhibition.
The special interest of the visitors was attracted by the pumping stations for oilmen of Kazakhstan and the energy efficient block boiler units of OZNA company (Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia).
Atyrauneftemash plant presented the new draft, which the company implements to expand the production capacity and the development of new technologies.
For the first time, the exhibition was attended by 12 oil producing and oil service companies from Udmurtia. Dmitry Lentsev, Commercial Director of the Group of Companies "Nefteprom-Service" of the Udmurt Republic, said:"Our company has participated in the exhibition as part of the delegation from Udmurtia, and our goal is to enter the market of Kazakhstan, which is a priority for us, as it is a fairly large market, moreover, it is a growing one". Such participation was scheduled in the programme of business-mission of the delegation from the Republic of Udmurtia to expand the business potential of the partnering enterprises. The delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Government of the Udmurt Republic Viktor Savelyev.
The national stand of Netherlands at the exhibition was personally presented by Hans Dreiser, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Kazakhstan.
For the second time, the specific topic of the Atyrau Oil and Gas Exhibition becomes the special section: Welding. Welding equipment and Pipeline Anti-corrosive Coatings. For the first time, the co-organizer of the welding section- Welding equipment, became the Welding Association KAZWELD. Rustambek Abdurakhmanov, Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Association of Welding KAZWELD, said in particular: "We tried to combine the science and application of welding technologies and exhibition of this scale ensure the communications and knowledge sharing among the scientists, researchers and industry". Rafil Suleimanov, Chief Welder of New Technologies CJSC (Russia): "For the first time we are participating in the Atyrau Oil and Gas Exhibition 2015 to present ourselves and to demonstrate our capabilities in Kazakhstan’s market of oil processing and oil and gas industry. We provide services of cleaning the tanks, the intra-pipe diagnostics, chemical cleaning, pipeline welding, cutting under pressure; therefore, it was very interesting to work here in Kazakhstan.
During two-day, the OILTECH Atyrau 2015 conference addressed th issues of efficient organization of geological exploration, innovative approaches in the study of layers, as well as the recent advances in the offshore geology, development of oil refining and petrochemicals, environmental protection and many other issues.
One of the key points was the report of Aydar Dosbaev, Deputy Director of the Future Growth Project - Project management of Wellhead Pressure of Tengizchevroil, who shared the key project statistics. Therefore, the FGP implementation will increase the oil production by about 12 million tonnes per year and will provide 20000 jobs at the peak of construction works. However, this project provides the opportunities for local suppliers who can freely present their products and services to the expert group of FGP.
It is encouraging to note that the majority of reports was dedicated to the use of innovations in various areas of oil and gas industry. One of the topics discussed was the problem of enhanced oil recovery and efficient exploration. The section on these issues was attended by the speakers from TCO, Shell, LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft, which presented their vision in the area of geological research and exploration works.
Session on drilling and development also took place at a pace of lively discussion. It is worth noting that the drilling technology- from exploration to industrial aspects are always well represented at the Atyrau Oil and Gas Exhibition. In this connection, and in the Conference program, the topic has a special place in the Conference agenda since the existence of the event itself.
Later, the Conference continued in form of discussions on “Refining and Petrochemicals, Environmental Safety, finishing by the master class on the nuances and specific features of doing business in Kazakhstan by Grata low firm.
Over the years, the Oil&Gas Conference and Exhibition in Atyrau became one of the famous and most expected regional events, bringing together the leading local and international experts in the areas of exploration, drilling, injection, transportation, disposal, and many others.
The official support for the project was provided by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, akimats of Atyrau region and the city of Atyrau, NC KazMunayGas JSC, Kazservice-Union of Service Companies of RK, Kazakhstan Association of Welding KAZWELD.
The organizers of the event are the Kazakhstan exhibition company Iteca and its international partner ITE Group.
In 2016, the 15th North-Caspian Regional Exhibition Atyrau Oil and Gas and 10th Atyrau Regional Petroleum Technology Conference will be held under new brand-the Global Oil and Gas Atyrau, on April 12-14, 2016. The rebranding of Iteca oil&gas events is a part of a broader initiative to create a single global event standard, organised by ITE Group Plc throughout the world.
