Regional Event of International Resounding
The jubilee oil and gas events, Atyrau Oil, Gas & Infrastructure Exhibition and OilTech Atyrau Conference, were successfully held in Atyrau. For more than a decade, Iteca Exhibition Company and its international partners from the United Kingdom and Germany have been the unfailing organisers of the events.

Speaking at the Grand Opening Ceremony on behalf of the Atyrau Oblast Akim was his First Deputy Bolat Daukenov. In his welcome address, Bolat Daukenov stressed that in Atyrau Region has been involved in the process. Large-scale projects are implemented, and export-oriented enterprises are commissioned. All this suggests that the region is accessible to everybody for investment. The International Atyrau Oil, Gas & Infrastructure Exhibition, held for the tenth time, has year in and year out been attracting new companies and potential investors. The Exhibition presents unique opportunities for exhibitors and visitors providing for establishing strong business relationships, getting familiar with investment opportunities in the region and in West Kazakhstan as a whole.

British Ambassador David Moran, in his turn, thanked Atyrau Oblast residents for hospitality saying that about 80 British-shared companies operated in Atyrau Oblast, that it was not the limit, and that there was a great potential of further mutually beneficial cooperation.

In all, more than 70 companies participated in the Exhibition. Represented here were Italy, Germany, China, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and many other countries. Traditionally, they demonstrated the most advanced equipment for oil field exploration and for production, processing, and transportation of raw hydrocarbons. Russian companies noticeably increased their participation this year. The Russians did not conceal the fact that with the establishment of the Customs Union many procedures, previously impeding business development, were eliminated. Thus, the companies from Rostov showcased the most advanced electrical equipment used for notification of emergency situations occurring at oil fields and drilling rigs.
Maxim Gulov, Exhibitor (Rostov-on-Don): “We have been working with Kazakhstan for a long time. But thanks to the fact that the Customs Union was formed, there is now the foundation on which we are going to build more lasting and stronger relationships, both in this region and in other regions of Kazakhstan.”
Manufacturers from Kazakhstan were exhibitors of considerable weight, too. Companies from many regions of the country presented their products in Atyrau. Interest towards Atyrau NefteMash products was expressed by specialists of virtually all the major companies operating in the region.

Vladimir Donskov, Atyrau NefteMash Director: “Such meetings, such exhibitions are very useful. We can declare ourselves as domestic manufacturers of modern and competitive equipment.”
Atyrau machine manufacturers set up the production of deep-well pumps, plants for desalination of associated salt water. They offer heating furnaces and separation equipment. According to the plant’s specialists, the products having international quality certificates, once the Customs Union had been established, gained the interest of Russian oilers, among others, due to their reasonable prices. Increased levels of Kazakhstan goods are duly noted by foreign experts, too.
