Global industry speakers of the SPE Annual Caspian Technical Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan announced
London, UK – 8 November 2023 – SPE's leading technical event in the Caspian region marks its 10th anniversary this year. Taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan from 21 to 23 of November, the event will bring together global industry leaders and technical experts to share their vision on the industry, as well as address the unique challenges and opportunities it poses.
Given the Caspian region’s pivotal role in shaping the future of global energy dynamics, this year's event, hosted by the state oil company SOCAR, will deliver a high calibre peer-selected technical programme, expert panel sessions on the key issues facing the region, and unparalleled networking with upstream oil and gas experts and decision-makers. The current climate will be assessed throughout the programme and will deliver a vital conversation for investors, operators, service companies and government entities across the region.
The Executive Plenary Session on day 1 will delve into the heart of the global energy challenge – the Energy Trilemma. Confirmed keynote speakers include Ali Al Jarwan, CEO, Dragon Oil; Ismadi Ismail, CEO, Petronas Turkmenistan; Gary Jones, Regional President Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye, BP; Emmanuel De-Guillebon, Managing Director and Country Chair, TotalEnergies; and Asif Zeynalov, CEO, GL.
The keynote programme will deliver highly respected technical content and lively discussion across the following topic areas – Caspian Rising: Collaborative Solutions to the Energy Trilemma; Maximising Value from Brown and Marginal Fields; Economic Considerations for the Energy Transition and Energy Mix; Innovations in Geosciences; Attracting and Retaining the Right Talent for a Digital Future; Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and the Future of the Oil and Gas Industry in a New Reality.
The event features three strategic panel sessions designed to address pressing industry issues and offer valuable perspectives on the industry's future. 22 technical and 110+ paper presentations will cover a range of different topics offering the opportunity to share knowledge in an open and constructive environment.
