EY Kazakhstan appoints new Partners

Kairat Medetbayev and Adil Syzdykov are appointed Assurance Partners.
Kairat Medetbayev has 14 years of experience in auditing companies from the oil & gas, agricultural, pharmaceutical and other industries, as well as providing pre-IPO advisory services. Kairat joined EY in 2004. He is a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Auditor in the Republic of Kazakhstan (CARK) and a Certified Professional Accountant in the Republic of Kazakhstan (CAP). Kairat is a member of the Auditors Chamber of Kazakhstan. His experience includes secondments to EY Canada and EY USA. Before this appointment, Kairat worked as Executive Director, Assurance, EY Astana.
Adil Syzdykovstarted his career at EY in 2004. He has broad experience in auditing both Kazakhstan and foreign entities, including major state and private companies. Adil specializes in oil & gas, energy and construction. His experience includes secondments to EY UK and EY Canada, where he participated in audits of public companies. Adil is a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Auditor in the Republic of Kazakhstan (CARK) and a Certified Professional Accountant in the Republic of Kazakhstan (CAP). He is also a member of EY’s Quality Assurance Group, of the Advisory Council under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and of the Advisory Council of Experts for state audit and financial control under the Accounts Committee for control over execution of the republican budget. Before this appointment, Adil worked as Executive Director, Assurance, EY Astana.
Vladimir Fesenkois appointed Partner and Leader for People Advisory Services (PAS) in Kazakhstan. Vladimir has extensive experience in delivering HR management projects for major Kazakhstan, Russian and international companies. He has designed and implemented global mobility policies, employment mechanisms for various jurisdictions, programs for outsourcing payroll services, HR administration and tax reviews. Vladimir is an expert in solutions for complex private taxation issues in various jurisdictions, as well as in structuring international personal holding mechanisms (entities, trusts, and funds) and asset ownership. Vladimir is a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He joined EY Moscow in 2004, and his experience includes secondment to EY New York. Since 2017, Vladimir has led the EY People Advisory Services practice in Kazakhstan.
Rustamzhan Sattarovis appointed Associate Assurance Partner. Rustamzhan has 16 years of experience in providing audit services to the resources sector, in particular under IFRS. Rustamzhan joined EY in 2002. He is a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Auditor in the Republic of Kazakhstan (CARK) and a Certified Professional Accountant in the Republic of Kazakhstan (CAP). Before this appointment, Rustamzhan worked as Senior Manager, Assurance, EY Almaty.
Roman Yurtayevis appointed Associate Tax & Law Partner. Roman has 17 years of experience in delivering tax and transfer pricing projects. He provides advisory services to both Kazakhstan and foreign entities engaged in the production and processing of mineral resources, manufacturing and distribution, and telecommunication services. Roman joined EY in 2002. Before this appointment, he worked as Senior Manager, Tax & Law, EY Almaty.
