Expenses of OJSC LUKOIL on writing-off the dry wells in Kazakhstan have reached $17 million in 2011, is underlined in the report of the Russian company. According to the document, on the whole, the expenses of OSC LUKOIL on writing-off the dry wells have reached $417 million in 2011.
In 2010, similar expenses came to $225 million. “In 2011 the main writing-off the expenses on dry wells were connected with foreign projects: in Ghana – worth $181 million, in Cote d’Ivoire–$149 million, in Vietnam – $27 million and in Kazakhstan – $17 million. Also, in 2011 the expenses on dry wells in the Republic of Komi amounting to $28 million and in Western Siberia amounting to $10 million have been written off,” is said in the report.
The major activities of Russian OJSC LUKOIL are exploration and production of oil and gas, production of petroleum products and petrochemical products, as well as marketing of produced goods.
In Kazakhstan, LUKOIL is engaged in the development of such fields as Аtash, Тyub-Каragan, Кumkol, Каrachaganak, Arman, North Buzachi, Каrakuduk, Zhambai,Аlibekmola, etc., informs КаzTAG.
