Kyrgyzstanand Kazakhstan have agreed to form a working group on building an oil pipeline. The Minister of Economy and Antimonopoly Policy Теmir Sariyev stated about it in May during his visit to Kazakhstan.
“Yesterday, we visited KazMunayGas and discussed the issues of building the oil pipeline from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan; the main question now is to talk about resources. We have agreed that the working group will be formed with a possible participation of Azerbaijan,” he said.
According to T. Sariyev, a preliminary route of the oil pipeline will lie from Shymkent or Кyzylorda to Kyrgyzstan. A preliminary volume is 2 million tons for the oil refinery which the Azerbaijan oil company is planning to build.
