Almost four years after the termination of crude oil SWAP from the Caspian region through Iranian territory, Iran has started negotiations to resume such shipments with the countries of Central Asia, particularly with Kazakhstan. About this informed the Deputy oil Minister of Iran for International Affairs Ali Madžedi.
In addition to Kazakhstan, the same negotiations were held with Turkmenistan, which has already declared its readiness to resume the oil trade with Iran. Ali Majedi noted that along with the start of negotiations with named countries on the resumption of crude oil swaps, Iran last year has provided supplies for the substitution of the Caspian countries to external markets of more than 210 thousand tons of oil products.
