Kazakhstan is planning to terminate the contract under which Russia uses a military ground Taysogan (in the Atyrau region, the west of the republic). About it, as informs News-Kazahstan Agency, stated the Kazakhstan Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev.
Other site for ground will be offered to the Russian side. The Minister explained that on Таysogan, which is located within the territory allocated to the oil company Embamunaigas for geological exploration, the oil field was found.
In connection with the prospects of this field's development, the Russians will be offered another site. It is unknown so far where the new landfill will be located.
According to the Minister, negotiations are being conducted currently with the Russian side. Taysogan was leased to the Russia's state flight test centre Chkalov to test the systems of aircraft.
Exploration activity was conducted there in the 1990s, however due to the flight tests on the landfill, the search of oil was stopped.
