Atyrau. October 14. KazTAG –Ex-Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Nurlan Balgimbayev passed away at the age of 68 years in Atyrau, informs his family. "Today he (Nurlan Balgimbayev - KazTAGГ) died", - said his relatives on Wednesday.
According to the informants, he died as a result of an extended illness. N.Balgimbayev worked as a minister of oil&gas industry of Kazakhstan; president of the National Oil&Gas company Kazakhoil. From 1997 to 1999 he was the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Later, he was appointed as the CEO of National Oil&Gas Company Kazakhoil CJSC; CEO of Kazakhstan oil investment company JSC.
In December 2007 he was appointed as an advisor to the President of Kazakhstan and he worked in this capacity until the year of 2009. Then, Mr.Balgimbayev worked as a general director of an organization, cooperating with Italian Eni on various projects.
