The national oil and gas company KazMunayGas has addressed to the international banks with a request to submit proposals on the issue of a five-year unsecured credit worth $1 billion. The credit, which should go on financing the company's activity and refinancing the existing debts, will be the first international syndicated loan for Kazakhstan since the end of 2009 after re-structuring of the country's bank sector in 2010, informs Reuters. "This credit will open again the Kazakhstan market," has commented the bank's employee familiar with the situation.
