Expopower and Greenpower 2014 - Poznan Energy Meetings
The middle of May is the time of the events in energy and electricity industry in the Polish city of Poznan. It is due to the annual Expopower Conference and Exhibition, hosted in the largest pavilions of the Poznan Exhibition Center. In the recent years, the forum topics included the discussions of the alternative energy, therefore, the current exhibition is referred to as the Expopower and Greenpower 2014. Thanks to the invitation of the Polish-Kazakh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the correspondent of the Petroleum magazine has been given the opportunity to take part in this exhibition and to become acquainted with the latest European technologies in the field of energy, demonstrated during the Exhibition.
The Expopower Exhibition in May is a good opportunity to learn the first-hand about the latest solutions of energy production and distribution. Exhibitors shall present their proposals in the following areas: energy, electrical engineering, lighting, machines and devices, connections, and control mechanisms, complete solutions in the field of energy, telecommunications, electrification and renewable sources of energy and the "smart systems".
Expopoweris held annually from 2007 and it is the successor of ENERGIA exhibition, which until 2006 was held within the framework of the Poznan Industrial Fair- ITM Poland and now it became an independent specialized exhibition. Expopower Exhibitionis held with the support of the Polish Chamber of Energy and Environment, Polish Power Transmission and Distribution Association, Polish Association of Electrical Engineers and Polish Chamber of Railway Systems and Services. The current Expopower together with the 3-rd Greenpower Renewable Energy Exhibition and Autonoma Automation, Robotic and Measurement Systems, brought together nearly 350 companies from around the world.
Among them, there are such companies as: ABB, Mikronika Elektromontazh Poznan S.A., Elektrobudowa S.A., ENEA S.A., ENEA Operator, ENEA Wytwarzanie Energobud, Leszno, BHU SA, Eneos, Energomiar, Jean Muller Polska, Siba, ZPUE S.A., Asket, Dehn, SMA, H. Cegielski-Poznan S.A., Remor, Selfa, Fronius International Solar, Omikron and others.
During the first exhibition day the 1-st Forum "Photovoltaic for everyone" was held in order to discuss the latest trends, technologies and solutions in this sector, both in Poland and worldwide. Due to participation of the Heads of Department of the Renewable Energy at the Polish Ministry of the Economy, the investors, planning to develop the solar energy, were able to obtain the complete and up-to-date information on legal conditions for this type of business, as well as the relevant privileges and preferences.
The company TIM S.A., being the strategic partner of the Exhibition, also hosted two conferences: “How to pay less for energy?” and “LED, incandescent and energy saving lamps: what does have the value and what is a marketing vehicle?”
Polish Electricians Association held the XII Scientific and Technical Conference "Low, Medium and High voltage Electrical Installations" and the V Scientific and Technical Energy Conservation Conference.
On the second day of the Exhibition, the LED Academy invited all the participants to the Conference “Town and Village LEDification. Street Lighting”.
