Zhakyp Marabayev, former deputy chairman of the board of the Kazakh company KazMunayGas, will advise the Ministry of Economy of Georgia in the process of creating an oil strategy. This was announced by the Ministry of Economy of Georgia.
“Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili signed an agreement on consulting services with international expert Zhakyp Marabayev. Zhakyp Marabayev, as an adviser to the government of Georgia, will advise on the development of a national oil strategy, managing relations with large investors in this area and updating geological studies,” the press release says.
Marabayev has served as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KazMunayGas for exploration and production since 2019. Prior to that, he held senior positions in Kazakhstani oil and gas companies, and also participated in the development of commercial and technical strategies in foreign countries.
