Oil export to Germany
Vice Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Askhat Khasenov spoke about 20,000 tonnes of oil, which were to be sent to Germany by the end of February. According to him, this volume has been announced in the transportation schedule, a tender has been announced, and there are no technical restrictions.
"Today, negotiations are underway between the buyer and the oil supplier. During the first negotiations, historically, a lot of questions arise, they require a certain amount of time. So far, as of today, we have not sent 20,000. According to the information of the oil supplier, they do not tell us any problems. That is, they do not remove this volume from the chart, and we do not see any restrictions until the end of February,” commented Askhat Khasenov
On January 11, 2023, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Bolat Akchulakov commented on the issue of the possibility of exporting Kazakh oil to Germany. According to him, now it is planned to export up to 1.5 million tonnes per year. At the same time, he noted that in order to start exports, a response from Russia is needed, because oil is transported through its territory. The first batch will be sent as soon as they receive confirmation, and it will also be necessary for the transport organisations to also sign the relevant agreements.
