Tengizchevroil (TCO) completed one of the most complex overhauls in its history ahead of schedule. Production at all of TCO's production facilities at Tengiz has resumed, according to the company's press service.
TCO explained that the overhaul work at the Complex Processing Line-2 (CPL-2) had been planned for three years.
"The overhaul is aimed at ensuring the reliability and safety of CPL-2 process equipment and included the implementation of additional environmental projects... For the first time in the history of TCO, employees successfully replaced a vessel weighing about 100 tonnes and 37 metres high with a new, metallurgically upgraded column, and also replaced three molecular sieves for desulphurised gas dehydration," the report said.
All this equipment was manufactured by local companies in Kazakhstan.
