The Transneft company has signed an agreement with KazTransOil on the transportation of Kazakh oil through Russia in 2024, Transneft reported.
“As a result of the negotiations, an agreement on the provision of services for the transportation of Kazakh oil in transit through the territory of Russia for 2024 and an updated memorandum of cooperation between Transneft and KazTransOil were signed,” the published message says.
The Transneft delegation visited Kazakhstan on a working visit, during which the company’s President Nikolai Tokarev met with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. During the meeting, issues of interaction between the two countries in the field of transportation of energy resources and, in particular, the state and prospects of cooperation within the framework of the activities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium were discussed.
During the visit, the Russian delegation held negotiations with the Chairman of the Board of KazMunayGas (KMG) Magzum Mirzagaliev and the General Director and Chairman of the Board of KazTransOil (a subsidiary of KMG) Talgat Kurmanbaev. During the meeting, a wide range of topical issues of interaction with the Kazakh side were discussed, including cooperation within the CPC and the development of technological cooperation.
