The volume of oil shipped through the sea terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium at the port of Novorossiysk in January 2021 amounted to 4.12 million tonnes, which is 26.6% less than the same period in 2020 at 5.61 million tonnes. This follows from the statistics provided by the CPC press service. During this time, the terminal handled 41 tankers.
Of the oil shipped in January, 1 million 716 thousand 955 tonnes are oil from the Tengiz field, 993 thousand 792 tonnes oil from the Karachaganak field, 817 thousand 329 tonnes oil from the Kashagan field, as well as 1 thousand 164 tonnes of oil from other Kazakhstani producers.
In total, Kazakh shippers shipped 3 million 529 thousand 240 tonnes of oil in January, another 591 thousand 209 tonnes of shipped oil came from the territory of Russia.
From 2001 to January 31, 2021 inclusively through the Tengiz Novorossiysk oil pipeline system, 708 million 975 thousand 304 tonnes of net oil were supplied to world markets. Of these, 618 million 198 thousand 419 tonnes are oil from Kazakhstan and 90 million 776 thousand 885 tonnes of oil produced in Russia.
