Murat Munbayev was officially introduced as Deputy Chairman of the KMG for production issues. His predecessor Zhakyp Marabayev will keep his position until February 10.

 

Murat Munbayev started his career in the banking sector in 1999 and also worked in international financial organizations. Murat joined TCO in 2002 as Deputy Head of the Treasury Department. In 2004, he was seconded to Chevron Corporation (San Ramon, California) and upon his return to TCO continued to work as a Manager of the Marketing and Transportation Department in the Finance Department.

 

In 2007, he became Deputy General Manager of TCO Strategic Planning Department. Since 2010 he was General Manager of this department. Later he moved to work in the Eurasian division of Chevron. Then he moved to Shell where he o strategy and asset issues.

 

Murat, a native of Almaty, graduated from Warsaw University in Poland with a master's degree in international economic relations.
