Tethys Petroleum Limited has announced the official inauguration of its Aral Oil Terminal (AOT) - a new oil storage and rail loading facility for oil shipments from the Company's Doris oilfield into the Kazakh rail system. The AOT is located approximately 230 km from the Doris oil field, significantly reducing the distance oil is currently trucked by road from the field.

Atyrau Oil Processing Plant

The Atyrau Oil Processing Plant (AOPP) has signed a contract with a consortium involving Sinopec Engineering, the Marubeni Corporation and OGCC KazStroyService JSC for the construction of a turnkey integrated oil refining complex (IORC), for a cost of $1.7 billion, a report from KazMunaiGas (KMG) says.

The investment in the new facilities is estimated to be 264 million USD, while the Petromidia refinery processing capacity increase program amounts 377 million USD.“

Lyazzat Kiinov was appointed Chairman of the Board and a member of the Board of Directors of KazMunayGas National Company JSC.
