KazMunayGas
JSC National Company KazMunayGas will start drilling of the exploration well on the Urikhtau field in two months, informed the company’s deputy chairman of the board Kurmangazy Iskaziyev.

LUKOIL took the decision to leave the projects Tyub-Karagan and Zhambai-Zaburinie in Kazakhstan. As informs Interfax-Kazakhstan, in 2011 the second exploration well Tyub-Karagan № 2 was drilled which has not revealed commercial accumulation of hydrocarbons.

Since May 21, 2012, by the decision of the company’s only shareholder, Zhanat Tusupbekov has been appointed to the post of a new general director of Rompetrol Group. Prior to this assignment, he held the post of general director of JSC KazMunayGas Processing & Marketing, subsidiary of the national company KazMunayGas (КМG). Rompetrol Group is part of КМG since 2007, informs KMG’s press-service.

Kyrgyzstanand Kazakhstan have agreed to form a working group on building an oil pipeline. The Minister of Economy and Antimonopoly Policy Теmir Sariyev stated about it in May during his visit to Kazakhstan.

JSC KazTransGas has informed about personnel transfers in its subsidiaries. Kadyrberdy Yelevsinov has been appointed as a new general director of Beineu - Shymkent Gas Pipeline LLP. Talgat Taubaldiyev has been appointed to the post of general director of Asian Gas Pipeline LLP.
The Aral Region
In the Eastern Aral region, in the environs of the Каukei village in the Kazalinsk district, Kyzylorda region, the drilling of the first exploration well with a depth of 3.5 km was completed on the operational territory of Nursat-Bauyr & Co. LLP, informed the company’s acting geologist Bereket Tokayev.

JSC KazMunayGas Exploration & Production completed a deal for the sale of a 51 % interest in the charter capital of Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. (KPI) to United Chemical Company, informed KMG EP’s press-service. KPI is the operator of the project for the construction of the first integrated gas chemical plant in the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan.

Expenses of OJSC LUKOIL on writing-off the dry wells in Kazakhstan have reached $17 million in 2011, is underlined in the report of the Russian company. According to the document, on the whole, the expenses of OSC LUKOIL on writing-off the dry wells have reached $417 million in 2011.
