December 13, 2014. Today the Republic of Kazakhstan, NCOC and NCSPSA co-venturers settled a number of operational, financial and ecological matters, raised over the last several years. The agreement was signed in Astana on December 13, 2014, by the Minister of Energy and the representatives of the Operating Company NCOC and the NCSPSA Co-venturers.

KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC announces that JV Kazgermunai’s Aksay oil and gas field located in Kyzylorda region has been put on stream. At the commissioning ceremony, KMG EP Chief Executive Mr Abat Nurseitov said: “Aksay field commissioning will allow Kazgermunai to maintain oil production at current level.

On November 12, the Governments of Kazakhstan and Georgia agreed to return the control over KazTransGas-Tbilisi to KazTransGas company. This happened during the official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia I.Garibashvili to Kazakhstan.

A process of management change continues after replacing the CEO of KazTransGas JSC. We remind that Serik Sultangali, the former General Director, became the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Kayrat Sharipbaev, ex-CEO of KazTransGas-Aymak, is appointed as the General Director and the KMG Managing Director.

On November 7, Krymbek Kusherbayev, Akim of Kyzylorda Region, said during the briefing at the Central Communications Service that the oil will be depleted within the next 10-15 years at the main field of the region- Kumkol.

A new vessel, owned by Caspian Offshore Construction (Kazakhstani shipping company), was floated out in the port of Aktau on November 7 with purpose of research works to be done in Kashagan field area.

Kairat Sharipbaev is appointed as CEO of JSC KazTransGas Previously, he was the General Director of JSC KazTransGasAymak.
Kairat Sharipbaev was born on August 16, 1963 in Akterek village, Zhambyl district, Almaty region. He graduated from the Kazakh Agricultural Institute (1985) with speciality in Agricultural Science and Abai Almaty State University (1999) with speciality in Economics.

Kashagan

The cost of replacing the pipes at Kashagan field, stopped due to the accident last year, will amount to $ 1.6-3.6 billion and the pipeline contractor will be the Italian Saipem, reports Reuters Agency. Production at Kashagan, the largest giant field, discovered over the past 30 years, started in September 2013 after many years of delays.

Eurasia

On September 30, the presidents of Russian Federation and Kazakhstan, Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev, launched the joint project Eurasia in Atyrau, which stipulates drilling of the super deep well. The leaders of two countries launched the project, using the symbolic keys; it is expected to discover the hydrocarbon accumulation at the depth of, approximately, 7- 9 kilometres in Pre-Caspian Depression area.

Kashagan

Oil production at Kashagan is not guaranteed in the 2nd half of 2016, as informs Magzum Mirzagaliev, Deputy Minister of Energy of the RoK, according to KazTAG. "The guarantees (on oil production at Kashagan in 2nd half of 2016) are not feasible. It is purely a business issue. When we expected to launch Kashagan, no one thought that there will be problems at such very sophisticated field, specifically at one of the simplest areas, i.e. the pipeline," said Mr.Mirzagaliev at the press conference, held within the frameworks of 22nd Kazakhstan’s International Conference KIOGE.
